Boundaries For Adult Children
Acknowledge that it’s normal and okay for you to have boundaries.
Share your boundaries with your parents as soon as you are aware that you have some.
Understand that your parents pushing back on your boundaries is due to this being a new thing for them and their beliefs about how children should act.
Consider how they might respond, but don’t let it hold you back.
When you state your boundary, be clear about what happens if your boundary is not respected.
